From 'The Victim' to 'I Always' Los Angeles-Based Indie Pop Rock Band 2nd Day Crush Breaks the Mold with Debut Album

2nd Day Crush releases a highly anticipated debut album entitled "From the Nights You Lost Your Voice" on December 11, 2007.

Los Angeles, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) December 17, 2007 -- Los Angeles-based indie pop rock band, 2nd Day Crush, is independently releasing its highly-anticipated full-length debut album, "From the Nights You Lost Your Voice" today. Respected industry professionals have praised the LA Music award-winners as "the next big indie pop rock band" with a "full throttle killer hook… complimented by stand-out vocals." 2nd Day Crush's singles, "I Want to be There Again," "The Victim" and "Watch the World" have spun on XM and FM radio. Additionally, their video for "Watch the World" has aired on "Steven's Untitled Rock Show" on FUSE TV.

"From the Nights You Lost Your Voice" is a genre-jumping album that unfolded as a perfect blend of indie pop and rock. An album highlight is the collaboration with Seth Trotter from renowned band, The Higher, on the song "I Always." Frontman Chris Drizen shares, "I was thrilled to work with Seth on the track ... he's a gifted singer and I knew his vibe would make the song really pop. We were all honored to have him be a part of our record." Guitarist, Rami Jrade, adds, "The recording process was brutal, but beautiful. I really couldn't be happier about our debut record; we all feel that it is going to stand the test of time."

The fivesome have created a sound that everyone is starving for -- music that rocks with powerful pop vocals reminiscent of David Bowie, catchy guitar licks, rolling rhythms and emotionally evocative lyrics. "From the Nights You Lost Your Voice" is a project that goes above and beyond most pop rock endeavors. With two tracks that are politically-fueled, the band has also taken the opportunity to voice their opinions in a clever and appealing manner. Bassist and producer, Rick Barrio Dill, says, "We are at a critical point in the history of our country and planet and we wrote 'Watch the World' and 'Better Than This' for that very reason. Making this record was one of the toughest, yet satisfying experiences I think this band has ever gone through. You learn what you are made of when you choose to do it all yourself. There is definitely a sense of pride that comes with that. Now when I hear what's coming out the speakers, I realize how everything was worth it."

Next up -- 2nd Day Crush will be shooting another music video for their upcoming release, "The Victim," directed by Chris Laughter. In support of the record, they will also be touring internationally throughout 2008.

2nd Day Crush are: Chris Drizen (lead vocalist, guitarist), Rick Barrio Dill (bassist, vocalist), Rami Jrade (guitarist), George Lind (drummer/percussionist) and Jeremy Weinberg (guitarist, vocalist).
